A popular political cartoonist from Nova Scotia has released a new book to help define what it means to be Canadian.
‘You Might Be From Canada If…’ by Michael de Adder draws on many proud Canadian moments, symbols and people through caricature.
It includes pointing fun at the way we speak, the 1972 Summit Series against the Soviet Union and the Littlest Hobo.
de Adder says it was challenging to draw adding Canada is a large country basically two and a half times the size of the European Union.
He says despite our size we still have a common identity from Iqaluit to Toronto.
de Adder says it took roughly nine months to complete the book.
He says it’s a tribute to Canada’s 150th anniversary.
