2nd Season of Saint John Idol on stage watching the crowd and realizing how you're part of something that has revitolized the boardwalk in my favorite city!
Years in the Biz: I've been doing this since O.J. had Isotoners...about 15 years! From K.V.H.S (Go Crusaders!) into broadcasting school, and straight to work.
These are a few of my favorite things: Kayaking, watching NFL football with friends (Go Cardinals—hey, everybody’s got a dream), spicy food, Halloween (you get to be whoever you want to be and it comes with treats), fitness mags, and cooking.
Pet Peeve: People who use the passing lane as their own personal stretch of road (anyone traveling the McKay during rush hour knows those people…grrrr).
Favorite Radio Moments: Interviewing Melissa Etheridge and Walter Gretzky (not at the same time); flying in a Sea King (yeah, I know) and landing on the back of HMCS Iroquois in the Bay of Fundy; showing Leslie Neilson to the bathroom; and various occasions on the wave wake up show!
Favorite Bands/Artists: From rock (The White Stripes, The Trews, Coldplay…) to Jazz (Diana Krall, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone…) and many points in between.
Something you'd be surprised to learn: My first “radio gig” was in grade 3 at Dr. A.T. Leatherbarrow primary school. I got to use the intercom. Ironically, I was nervous and confided in my teacher. I lost the job. Go figure.
Favorite Bands: Rock & Roll, Pop, Indie and everyting in between, I like a lot of music. Arcade Fire, Oasis, The Ting Tings, Amy Winehouse, The Killers. I could go on forever...
TV or Radio: R-A-D-I-O of course
Favorite Food: Taco Pica....that's it, that's all. Oh, and guacamole.
Bad Habit: Biting my nails. It's a bad habit.
Favorite Day: Friday or Saturday, I can't decide!
Favorite Movies: 200 Cigarettes, Fight Club, and I love 80's horror films.
Favorite Books: If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor, by Bruce Campbell.
If you could vist anywhere in the world on your next vacation where would you go? NYC.
Why Radio? Growing up I was always getting into trouble for talking too much, and a lot of that talking was about music! I would joke that when I was grown, I would find a job that required me to talk, and a lot. I love music, I love to talk, I love to talk about music. You get the idea ;)
