PETS IN THE PARK 2010 We postponed this event in July due to rain,so now WE ARE asking you to put on your walking shoes, gather your friends and family, human and pets alike and join the Animal Rescue League’s 19th Annual Pets in the Park on Sunday September 12, 2010, from noon until 4:00 pm (registration begins at 11:00 am). All funds raised from this, our biggest fund raiser of the year will be used toward the operation of our shelter, veterinary care, special needs of our animals and enhancement of ongoing programs.

The Fundy Trail's 11th Annual Cancer Walk will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010.
All money raised will go to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation toward the Cancer Treatment Centre in Saint John.

October 3rd An All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser will be held on October 3, 2010 in support of the Saint John Animal Rescue League. This event is being put on by the Woolley family in memory of Laura Cristine Woolley, a devoted animal lover who passed away in 2007. Tickets are now on sale for the dinner which includes all-you-can-eat spaghetti, garlic bread, tea, coffee and pop. It will be held at the Lansdowne Place Pizza Delight on October 3, 2010 and there are multiple sittings. Tickets are $12 and must be purchased in advance. This fundraising event includes door prizes, a 50/50 draw, and silent auction. Animal food donations will also be accepted at the door. September 14th Vibrant Communities is hosting a second Learn & Go: Working for Change program. It’s an opportunity to make connections, expand networks, and learn skills for advancing ideas that can improve your community. Learn & Go: Working for Change has three phases: Phase one is a series of workshops that foster skills and ideas for improving your community. Phase two allows participants to work on a project of their choice with guidance from a mentor. Phase three is presentation time, where potential partners are gathered to hear participants’ project ideas. Vibrant Communities provides food, transportation, and childcare to Learn & Go participants.
