An unusual day for me: Fighting a bear, modelling lingerie, clipping a hillbillys’ toes (this sort of day hardly EVER happens!)

A typical day for me: Having a BBQ with my family, Sherry, Emma, and Charlie (the last one is the furry one…like me!), and probably eating stuff that’s way too spicy and may envoke the rest of them to tell me to sleep in the shed. After that, some homework, bit of Coronation Street, some Fringe or Criminal Minds (Dexter if I’m lucky) and throw in a game of Jeopardy just to keep my brain working!

Hold on!… I can’t do any of that, it’s 4am…I gotta get to work! Grab my Yankees cap, get on the Yamaha, leave the Valley and head uptown. Can’t complain though, it beats workin’ for a livin!

Nesta is my name. It’s not short for anything; it’s ancient Welsh and means “firstborn” – though, my parents had no idea when they gave it to me. They read it in a cowboy book called “Arizona Ames.” Worked out – I am their firstborn!

Notable other Nestas: Robert Nesta Marley, better known as Bob Marley. Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale named their kid, Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale, after Bob Marley. And Nesta Archeron from A Court of Thorns and Roses for my follow smutty-fantasy book lovers.

I was born in New Brunswick but dad was an F-18 test pilot so I grew up on Air Force bases all over Canada and the world. It feels good to come full circle, back home to Atlantic Canada to raise my family.

My youngest babe started kindergarten this year and my oldest middle school, so I spend my free time trekking them to extra-curriculars – when not working on house renos. So many house renos. The husband is a chef – very handy since I love food, books & digging in dirt but my real hobby is collecting hobbies.  I’m a sucker for a good workshop. There’s always something new and exciting to learn.
